Taking souls is taking its toll on George. Unable to sleep, she wanders to the Waffle Haus, where she is angry to find she was not invited to take the self-examination test currently occupying the other reapers. But George's anger quickly turns to panic when she learns that Rube has an assignment to take a soul at her family's house that night.
